If you’ve ever considered a vacation to a tropical island, but didn’t want anything too foreign or different to what you’re used to, then consider holidaying in Hawaii. Hawaii vacations are easily booked and even easier to take – simply pack your best costume and grab your passport and tickets!
Hawaii actually refers to a state of the United States of America, and is a group of islands (or archipelago) in the Pacific Ocean. There are hundred of islands in total, but only the islands to the far south east are the best known and visited – Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Niihau, Molokai, Kahoolawe, Lanai (an island devoid of traffic lights) and Haiwaa (also called ‘The Big Island’ to distinguish it from the state as a whole). The capital of Hawaii is Honolulu, located on the island of Oahu, at Honolulu Harbour.
Whether you’re visiting Hawaii for the surf (which, by the way is brilliant) or simply to relax, there is a plethora of things to do in and around the islands that are sure to keep you entertained for the entire time you’re there – and keep you coming back for more. After flying into Honolulu International Airport, you can access any of the other islands and plan your vacation as you go, or map it out from home before you even book your tickets.
