I have been contacted several times over the past few months for information on how to find a cheap luxury cruise. Many people seem to be able to find a good cruise offer, but people don’t seem to know how and more importantly when to get a cheap deal. Too many people just open a brochure, pick up the phone and make the booking for the listed price. If you can afford it, great, if you can’t, like the millions of people out there you need to know what to do.
The thing is with cruises, they won’t let their ships sail when they’re half empty. They’ll reduce and reduce their prices as the cruise date is approaching in order to balance the ship. Everyone has heard of last minute deals to get a cheaper hotel or flight, well, finding a cruise is exactly the same scenario, but people don’t see to grasp it.
If you really want to find a cheap luxury cruise, I’d suggest calling a few companies a week or two before the date you’re looking to sail and see what they can offer you. I mean sure, you might not get the destination you wanted, but you will get a great holiday at a fraction of the brochure price.
