Once you have all of your clothes ready for your luxury cruise vacation and are ready for all the formal nights and windy days on the beaches, you need to pack everything else. Just remember to keep your carry-on luggage as light as possible. Never leave your carry-on luggage unattended at an airport.
All important documentation like you passport and identification should be with you at all times in your carry-on luggage. If you are required to take medication, this should be packed in your carry-on. If you must bring valuables such as jewelry with you on your trip, keep it close to your person or locked in a safe all of the time.
Be sure to abide by airport regulations when packing your toiletries and keep all liquids under three ounces. You will probably want to put items such as shampoo and lotions in a plastic storage bag in case of spills.
Be sure to keep a wireless cellular phone with you at all times. These can be used when you are near land to contact family members or travel agents. You can arrange for a taxi when you return or lodging if you plan a late return.
Throw in a couple emergency items like a pair of walkie-talkies, a flashlight and a hairdryer and you are good to go.
